Unlike other chatbots, it can reason through complex situations, adapt to each patient’s needs, and continuously learn, reflecting HSS’s commitment to innovating faster paths to treatment and recovery.

HSS has performed more osseointegration surgeries than any other hospital in the country, offering improved mobility, comfort, and quality of life for patients with an amputation when compared to a standard socket prosthesis. Three new HSS studies add to mounting benefits of this procedure, which enables a prosthetic limb to be attached directly to the bone.

At this year’s American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons meeting, investigators at HSS presented several significant studies, two of which could transform how surgeons counsel families of young patients. One study suggests that growth hormone therapy may increase the risk of fractures in children and teens; the other suggests that most adolescent athletes with lumbar spine stress fractures heal without surgery.
